Years ago I was reading an article in a Popular Science form the late
40's or early 50's. The writer had visited a guy who covered the inside
of his house with aluminum foil, kept the air temperature in the house
low (I vaguely recall it was between 45 and 50 F), but had sources of
radiant heat. The author agreed the the owner that it was fairly
comfortable.
