Re: [Phys-l] Volcanos

If you saw the NOVA on supervolcanos, they have been known to throw the
world into an ice age. The sulfur acts as a heat reflecting shield. Now
there is an active supervolcano under Yellowstone that erupts approximately
every 600k years, and it last erupted 600k years ago. When it goes there
will be a cooling snap, and a large fraction of the US will be wiped out.

What is the comparative contribution of active and semi-active
volcanos to so-called Global Warming Gas concentration?
