Re: [Phys-l] Mind reading software!

Took a moment, but figured it out over a beer sitting on my back deck
contemplating next year's lesson plans... Sure...

The way the numbers work out, your answer HAS to be a multiple of 9. Simple
math trick. If you look at the symbols, each symbol corresponding to a
multiple of 9 is the same; 9, 18, 27, and so on. So, no matter what multiple
you 'choose', the symbol is the same every time. When you try it again, the
program simply shuffles the symbols, but each multiple of 9 is still
represented by an identical symbol; just a different one this time.

Cheers!

Subject: [Phys-l] Mind reading software!

Here is a very clever thought provoker!

Go to http://www.niehs.nih.gov/kids/mindread/psychicSparkle2.swf
and let this program read your mind!

Can you figure out how it's done?
Have fun!
