Re: [Phys-l] Warming

Richard!

I would still be Chile if it weren't for the CIA engineered golpe de estado. Old Labour England was pleasant too. If I were younger and not married, I'd try Venezuela.
Chile and Nicaragua were especially irksome to the US imperialists more than the dictatorial regimes, because they were socialist societies that became socialist democratically and worked despite US blockades. They can't tolerate "bad" examples. The Venezuelans thank Iraq, otherwise they'd be under the yoke of IMF structural adjustment.

bc, despite the inconvenience of the US blockade, I was very happy there (Santiago). I'd like Sweden if it weren't for the weather. We've been thinking of retiring to France, but not if the fascist Sarkozy wins.
p.s. the people who live on the slopes of volcanoes are peasants. I guess you don't realize the poor don't have many choices in this world. Furthermore, it requires great hardship before people will leave a land to which they have become attached.

Richard, why don't you sponsor a few islanders for US residence? Tho not affluent, I have much greater choice than those irrationals.

Nothing wrong. They're just controlled by an inherently evil economic
system.

Which for all of your bitching you seem unwilling to divorce yourself
from--to go elsewhere and find yourself a nice little socialist society to
live in (if you can find one that works). ;-)

To respond to Jim...when have people ever been rational? They live on the
coasts where hurricanes are sure to hit (then expect the government to bail
them out when they have insufficient or no insurance), live on the slopes of
volcanoes, live where it may be warm but there are no stable water supplies,
live on islands that average 2 feet above see level. We believe all sorts
of superstitious nonsense. We're all idiots!
