Re: [Phys-l] Missing universities

Mark,

Thanks for responding. I have tried this both at work and at home, running Windows XP professional both places. At work I use Firefox and Internet Explorer, and at home Netscape. I have no problem connecting with any other colleges in Pennsylvania or New Jersey or anywhere else in the country (except maybe one or two in Kentucky), and before last fall I had no trouble connecting with the universities I've listed either.

Does any of this help you speculate on a cause?

Since last fall, whenever try to verify the physics department links at a
whole cluster of universities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, I get an error
message saying that the university web server cannot be located.

I have also tried a few of the listed "unavailable" universities and had no
trouble accessing their sites.

What is needed is a bit more information...

Operating system installed on the machine not finding the sites
Access method (web browser, telnet client, secure shell client etc.)
Location of computer (home, office etc.)
