| At the college level, this is not much different from the old
| reality. Verrry old.
|
| Frat houses keep "homework files" and "exam files".

It may be an old problem , but it is a new reality and for the reasons Cindy S. mentioned, the access is different. The internet access has raised the "old" problem to a whole new qualitative level. Now days, they not have access to the local "fraternity" files, but to the entire world of "fraternity" files; and that changes the situation dramatically.

I'm reminded of the debate in military circles regarding the quality vs. quantity relating to equipment, say tanks or planes. Stalin once commented that "quantity" has a "quality" all its own.

| The savvy teacher lives by the principle "utlisé, c'est usé"
| (utilized once = used up).

One problem is in advanced classes where there can be paucity of problems that can be solved in short periods of time. Hence, the development of the savvy teacher's ability to dress up the same problem in a new suit of clothes.
