Strictly speaking, a hypothesis is an "educated guess."
That is not a "strict" definition (or even a passable definition)
of hypothesis.
Actually, hypothesis is another one of those words that has two
different perfectly good definitions.
-- One has to do with "hypothesis testing".
-- The other has to do with "hypothetical scenarios".
