I am not a Physicist at all (An EE teaching Physics) but we all might
profit from observing 3 bulbs of unequal watt-rating come on when placed
in series. I use a 40, 60 and 75. ( If I were showing kids I'd be sure to
put the 40 in the middle unless you have a perverse sense of humor.)

Ah, that was the practical experiment to vividly demonstrate
non uniform increase in temperature!
