[Phys-L] Re: Slow list?

I don't usually post to the list, but I do notice that some postings I
receive come late. The late posting states the question or topic that
an earlier posting I received has already answered. So I am receiving
postings out of temporal order.

I belong to a list that is not supported by a software at a university
server. It is supported by googlegroups. My understanding is that
anybody can create a discussion list on googlelists. Messages are
posted within seconds. And one is not limited to pure ASCII; i just
tested this by posting a message in which a phrase was in red color and
bolded. The only thing that I do not like is that a new thread is not
automatic when a subject line is changed, as it is on this list. To
start a new thread one must post a NEW message. People are not always
aware of this (or are too lasy) and that causes some difficulties
trying to find old messages in the archive. Should Phys-L be moved to
googlelists ?
