The operative theory here is that Government is prohibited from promoting
religion. So how would you feel about "under Shiva" as mandated for the pledge.
You good with that.
BTW I object to the whole notion of any kind of pledge, but that's a
different constitutional issue. The under Shiva issue is clearer. So no they don't
really have this right if we actually took the first amendment seriously.
