[Phys-L] Re: Finally the secularists strike back

Here's a 'lighter side' moment pertaining to 'ID' by cartoonist Tony Roth.

I must apologize for posting the rather offensive (on further reading after
posting, even I was offended by some of the links, etc.) reporting about the
student organization. Another of you reasonably took offense because it's
not clear the action is only against (I am blunt) fascist "self described"
Christians. I'm thinking of the ones who force their morality and "science"
upon the the rest of us, sometimes w/ violence.

bc, who had, for a few moments, a theory about mono-theism vs. poly and
resulting racism and religious violence, etc.

SECULAR STUDENTS GET ORGANIZED

DOUG IRELAND, DIRELAND - Secular students are organizing, and they're
having a national conference this weekend at Ohio State University.
This is the fifth national conference sponsored by the Secular Student
Alliance, whose slogan is "Mobilizing for a New Enlightenment." The
SSA's extensive website is filled with organizing tools, useful links,
a history of the organization (it's an outgrowth of the old student
arm of the Council on Secular Humanism, but is now independent), and
describes the group's efforts to raise some $30,000 to fund a
full-time campus organizer. . . In these days when the Christers are
crawling all over our campuses, attacking the teaching of evolution,
and trying to impose their "intelligent design" theocratic pap on
students at every educational level, it's good to see students
resisting and organizing systematically against the god-botherers.
