It looks like Pentcho's hobby-horse is here colliding with MY hobby-horse.
I am alert to physicists' habit of calling speed a velocity, and rail against
the habit.
Here (sigh) Pentcho refers to the change of velocity of light in grazing
incidence past the Sun (for example) as a change in speed.
The effect which was observed 90 years ago, can be thought of as due
to the finite mass associated with the energy of a light quantum, which
deflects the beam somewhat in the Sun's near gravitational field.
