Yes - you have increased the force of gravity on the object and decreased
its moment of inertia (but not its mass of course). Its rotational inertia
becomes less relative to its linear inertia so its linear acceleration
becomes closer to the ideal of g sin(theta).

A hollow brass pipe at rest is allowed to roll down
to the bottom of a gentle incline without slipping.

If the same pipe is then filled with a solid substance
and the procedure is repeated, will it reach the bottom
of the incline any faster?
