Hi,

I have long thought that Aristotle gets falsely
maligned because he labeled Earth, Water, Wind and
Fire as the four elements. If he had called them
the four states of matter ( solid, liquid, gas,
plasma) everyone would think he was way ahead of
his time. I openly admit my ignorance on how he
classified ice, but this point would clarify how
he was thinking. Does anyone know?
