MARCH 25 - PHYSICSBOWL DEADLINE

Enter your high school students in Physicsbowl 2004 and receive national
recognition for your school, your students, and your teaching
excellence.
The 40-question, timed, multiple-choice test can be taken in the period
April 8 - 21, 2004. For more information and an application, go to the

APRIL 1 - ABSTRACT DEADLINE

Thursday, April 1 is the deadline for submitting abstracts for the 129th
AAPT National Meeting at California State University in Sacramento, CA,
July 31-Aug 4, 2004. The meeting theme is "Physics of Sports and the

HONOR A TEACHING ASSISTANT

An AAPT member who is a department chair of any university with a
graduate
physics program may nominate one teaching assistant (TA) who will then
be
awarded the AAPT Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. The award
includes
a complimentary one-year student membership in AAPT. Deadline for
nomination is May 9, 2004. For more information go to

HIGH SCHOOL PHYSICS PHOTO CONTEST

Entries are now being accepted for the 2004 High School Physics Photo
Contest. This contest has become so popular that a poster and a calendar
have been created from past winning entries. The Contest is open to all
high school students. The top 100 photographs will be exhibited and
judged
at the 129th AAPT National Meeting in Sacramento, CA, July 31-August 4.
All entries must be received by June 1.To learn more about the contest
