Re: PER vs EdD (SciEd)



Hell, of the four I know who've retired, one is publishing, one
continued to teach PT, one quit Physics completely and writes software
for Ornithologists (instead of Physics texts), and the fourth
unexpectedly, sadly, died.

bc, who doesn't know of any tenured slackers. (except the one back east).

My experience has been quite the opposite. At every academic
institution where I've been, the great majority of the faculty, from
asst. through full professors, were very active. I've only
encountered a handful of "tenured slackers."
