Re: Sometimes physics is fun

1) Make sure that the sponsors are ok with your approach.

This is a pretty loosely organized event focused on a bunch of people having
fun, and most questions about the rules seem to be made up on the spot with
little thought. I don't think they will have a problem with my approach.
Afterall, they are willing to allow enclosed flames (Yikes!!). Answers
about engines are followed up with (what seems more important to them) "as
long as it doesn't damage the track".

5) As I see it a major difficulty will be puncturing the CO2 cylinder, You
probably don't what to do this at the "start" time. You may want to
puncture the cylinders (and I would use several - not one) before the ace
and fill a chamber which has an explosive outlet valve. say a blank 22
shell. Or a loaded one might be more helpful. <g>

You don't happen to be a member of NRA, are you?

Testing results to follow.
