Denker's post was helpful because I was clearly thinking of the fourier
series and it did not dawn on me that Ludwik wasn't doing that,
particularly when FFT got mentioned.
At this point it is not clear to me what Ludwik is trying to do so I
cannot offer any further comment because I don't understand the original
question.
