I liked the para of cinema-verite blurb that went like this:
"When things were going wrong - a tyre that kept trundling off to the left,
or a rocker shaft that kept toppling over like a tipsy cyclist - the
production lads on the shoot would start grumbling that 'the parts are
being very moody today' "

That's not an unfamiliar scenario....

I _did_ hear from a trusted (to me) source that it was actually done in two
parts as the studio wasn't long enough to contain the entire sequence, but
the events depicted were real. If you are thinking about the tires rolling
up hill, that was done by weighting the tops with nuts/bolts/etc.
