One of the more humorous sources of this notion of Bohr as a
"poor communicator" lies within Wheeler and Zurek's classic
compendium "Quantum Theory and Measurement." Bohr's 1935 response
to the famous Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paper is reproduced in
Wheeler's book, and the two next-to-last pages are interchanged.
It is a standing joke that Bohr is so little understood that the
paper is referenced without knowledge of the interchange of
pages, presumably because he is so poorly understood anyway.

Personally, though I have many disagreements with Bohr --
especially in his philosophical musings -- I find a great deal of
clarity and precision of thought in Bohr's writings.
