Re: On another topic...

Well, thank you!

My ejection did have the blessing in disguise of creating more time for
my projects (kitchen and TV room Physics) and house work.

I'm not retired, but really tired.

For the benefit of, I presume, at least two of you, here is some hidden
background. The same or previous day a member of that list claimed the
US won the war (WW II), implying single handed. I disputed this off list
pointing out that the Russians killed and captured many more Germans than
all the other allies. Almost a million (860K) before Mar. '43 and
capturing ~ 1/3 M. (Germany's total loss was ~ 3.5M) Tho the N. African
victory was important, Normandy wasn't 'till June 44!

I only later found my dispute was with the list's mgr. I think this
contributed to his decision.

For others, the proximate cause was my (strenuous) objection to donating
science equipment to the homophobic Scouts.

True, that list was more appropriate for me as most of my life has been
as an instructional (and industrial) lab. expert.

p.s. I must add: I was offered, at the time, reinstatement after a
time if I promised -- forgot what -- not to flame?

I also miss BC on the 'other list' and found his ejection therefrom
rather objectionable.

Shunning via the Delete key seems to be a far better solution than
censoring (or is it censuring?)

BC was banned from another list that I subscribe to as hinted in an
earlier post of his. I found his comments on that list very valuable
and am sorry he's not lurking anymore. I'm willing to overlook
'blindness' for valuable input. We all grow that way. Some offended
folks might even grow a thicker skin too.

Thanks,
