Re: Physics and the Paideia Process v Waldorf

Hugh-

As a part of the background to Waldorf education, one of the aspects is
a cosmology which includes what in short can be called reincarnation. I
assume this was not a hypothetical question!

It should be explicitly noted that Waldorf teachers DO NOT teach
reincarnation to students. This general statement applies (basically)
to any other part of the philosophical, educational, and spiritual
background of Waldorf education. These things are for the teachers,
staff, and parents to understand so that the education of the children
in question can be addressed in a wider context, using the principles to
help guide questioning, observing, and understanding of each individual
child.

I do not mean to be vague, but this line of questioning requires careful
response as it is clearly outside of the normal approaches to education
- although we are speaking of the background to Waldorf teaching, not
what happens in the classroom, which those unfamiliar with Waldorf
education wouldn't find to be too far out of the ordinary.

And beyond. . . ???
