AAPT TO PRESENT PHYSICS DAY AT NSTA's SOUTHWEST AREA CONVENTION

AAPT presents Physics Strand Day on Friday, December 6, 2002, 8:00
A.M. -
4:30 P.M. as part of NSTA's Southwestern Area Convention. AAPT speakers
include Michael Zeilik of the University of Mexico, who will be
speaking
on "Astronomy Topics in the High School Curriculum", and Geoffrey West
of
the Los Alamos National Laboratory, who will be speaking on "What High
School Students Should Know about Modern Physics at Los Alamos."
Receive
an overview by participating PTRA workshop leaders of a PTRA Workshop
Sample Session and a PTRA Make & Break Session. The first 40 people who
register onsite in the Albuquerque Convention Center's Laguna Room will
receive a free lunch,and all attendees will be eligible for door prizes
courtesy of physics vendors. More information on registering for the
