In buying a new Mac one now has a super-drive option.
The super-drive allows one "to burn" DVD disks whose
storage capacity is 4.7 Gb. It is not clear to me whether
or not this is for movies only. Can one also store text
documents, and executable programs, on DVD disks?
That would be a desirable alternative for backing up.
Please describe your experience in this area.
