Subject: Re: Star Hopping, green laser pointers
Just a curiosity question:
A few years ago the green diode laser pointers were actually an IR
laser followed by a frequency-doubling crystal. They blinked at a
steady fast rate - to let the doubling crystal cool?
Are these newer ones flickering or steady. Sweep it across a surface.
Is the line continuous or interrupted?
