I agree - it's not only extreme - it's naive and way off the mark. Unfortunately it's one
of the underlying feelings held by a great many environmental activist. It's one of the
reason I automatically discount much of the data and projections that are touted (they're
usually gross exaggerations) and wait until I have read the original sources before I
decide on an issue. The people who use the environmental movement solely as a club to vent
their hatred of capitalism and corporations do a great disservice to those who are
legitimately concerned about the environment.
