Two from several years ago...

You are driving you car along a road and suddenly slam on the brakes and
come screeching to a halt.  Where does the kinetic energy go?

It is transferred to the halt leaving it shattered on the road.



You find your self in the middle of a frictionless, frozen lake.  How do you
get off the ice?

1.  Take off all your clothes and throw them and then slide to the other
side.

2.  Call a large friend over to the edge and let the gravitational force
attract you.
