I'm about the same for Calc based General Physics - 6 conceptual questions and
4 numerical problems - all worth 10 points each. I feel that if they can't
answer reasonable conceptual questions they don't really understand physics.
It's too easy to plug and chug on the problems. By the way - we have the
luxury of untimed exams - we do them during the lab periods.
