Re: Surplus weather balloon source?

Not suitable for your purpose, but possibly useful for others. That's a
wiener balloon --a variety from 2" to 6' in circumference and lengths to
750' (depends on thickness and width on the roll; 2 => 6 mill) Wow!
17% of a mile balloon!!

Well probably not practical. Back in ca. 1965, I made one about four
yd.. long. We filled with methane (Jr. College w/o He.). worked
well. One of the students worked in a dry cleaners, and supplied it.

They'll supply the helium if we supply the balloon.

The best that I've been able to find on the 'net so far is this:
<http://www.angelfire.com/oh/ohiodeal/balloon.html>. It's
eye-catching, but not particularly big. Does any PHYS-Ler have a
better source?

Thanks,
