Re: How much is too much?

Well, I had the classes doing term papers for the last 2 semsters. They seem to like the paper because it lets them study the physics of something they are interested in. One student told me she learned a great deal from her paper on MRIs and found the information useful (going into biotech)
Also, writing is a necessary job skill that these students need to practice.

I was doing the mcdermott tutorials everyweek but I have decided to drop them based on a couple factors.
Thanks for the input

Tina,

I think you should seriously consider dropping the term paper.
Homework, labs, and studying will give the students plenty of work to do.

I'm not sure about the shorter papers, but you might want to consider
reducing the number of them or eliminating them entirely.
