'Getting it down there' is fairly easy. It sinks once the pressure is
great enough to keep it condensed.

Extraction is done now while makeing medical LO2. Byproducts of this
air liquifaction are LN2, LCO2 (or dry ice - take your pick) along
with argon, krypton etc.
