POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Director of Instructional Laboratories
DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining instructional lab and demonstration equipment; participating in introductory lab set-up; assisting in developing new experiments; maintaining lab safety standards; occasional teaching of labs and laboratory seminars; assisting faculty in setting up and taking down demonstrations and working with faculty in developing new demonstrations. Opportunities for presentations at professional conferences will be available.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a degree in physics or related discipline, although preference will be given to those with a M.S. or equivalent experience. Successful candidates will have good organization and communication skills and knowledge of elementary electronics and computer interfacing.
STARTING DATE: As early as July 1, 2002.
SALARY RANGE: $30,000 - $35,000, plus benefits.
