Re: Using CD's in Physics demos/activities

I use a drop of 'Super Glue' to join pairs face-to-face. (hiding the
AOL ad etc.) and then use them as 'craft material'.

Garden scarecrows
Windmill vanes
Wind driven Mobiles

etc.

It used be 3 1/2 in floppies now it is CD's. We have plenty of them
lying around thanks to AOL and other sources. They look neat. What
kind of uses have Phys-lers found for these CD's? I'll list a few I
know of. =20
1. Diffraction grating
2. Hovercraft
3.Wheels for mousetrap cars.=20
4. Coaster for my teacup

Any other?
