SCALE-UP Implementor's Workshop
SCALE-UP is an activity-based curriculum for studio/workshop classes of
up to 100 students. NC State and University of Central Florida are
offering a 2-day workshop for faculty interested in adopting/adapting
the SCALE-UP curriculum for introductory physics classes. Although the
hundreds of lesson plans that are available were designed for large
enrollment classes, these PER-based collaborative activities can also be
used in smaller classes. The workshop will be held in Orlando on June
7-8, 2002. Some travel funding may be available. For more information,
contact Bob Beichner at beichner@ncsu.edu or Jeff Saul at
saul@physics.ucf.edu or visit http://www.NCSU.edu/PER.
