Re: Circuits for Dummies



Check any 'simple' books for their _conventions_. For example, the old
Heath electronics series had a LEFT-HAND RULE convention. That is, that
series defined + current in the direction of the electron flow. I spent a
lot of time rewriting and redrawing pictures to adapt that material to
follow our intro courses where we (of course) used the normal physics
conventions.

Hi,

If you are really starting out with the basics,
try some of the Radio Shack mini-books. These are
pretty gentle, and often have useful wiring
diagrams. I had one out just yesterday to verify
the pinout of an op-amp.
