"Of course you will have to take a course on Texas history...As far as I know Texas is the only state to require a state history course of all teachers for certification."
Although not exactly a "state", the Puerto Rico Department of Education also requires all teachers to take one semester of Puerto Rican history AND one semester of United States history for teacher certification.
