General procedure in situations like this:

1a) Take your best guess as to what the questioner
    had in mind; then
1b) Restate the question so that it is no longer
    manifestly ridiculous; then
1c) Answer the restated question.  Ensure that
    this is not mistaken for an answer to the
    original question.

2)  Decide that the question isn't worth bothering
    with, and move on.  As my friend Larry likes to
    say:  If it isn't worth doing, it isn't worth
    doing right.
