I have read (but have forgotten the details) that some cells require

Ed Schweber

I fancy I see Ed taking us by the hand to peer out into the awful chaos
that exists at the edge of the interior universe where personal fates are
sealed, and loved ones die slowly, and often agonizingly, and certainly
expensively.
He sketches a glance at the divine machinery that tirelessly takes out a
crumbling brick here and there from the towering edifice, and in the middle
of the business day, mortars back a fresh baked replacement, day after day,
so that before long, there is no remnant left of the original creation.
Here he shows us the effect of the house entertainment system, that starts
to slip back one laser burned track, nudged so hard by an environmental
nudge, that the tracking servo is fixed on this endless loop, and the
workers in earshot are driven slowly to distraction and flee the edifice,
leaving it to its morphine fate.

This *is* a poetry list, I take it? No? Oops!
