Quotation about discussions

Hello to the group--

I was reading Daisaku Ikeda's book "Buddhism: The First Millennium" for some
reference material when I came across the following interesting quote on
page 65. It is in the dialogue between the Buddhist sage Nagasena and the
Greek king Menander.

"When Scholars talk a matter over one with another, then is there a winding
up, an unraveling; one or the other is convinced of error, and he then
acknowledges his mistake; distinctions are drawn, and contra-distinctions;
and yet thereby they are not angered. Thus do scholars, O king, discuss."
