Re: ENERGY WITH Q

On Carl's webpage:

http://physics.usna.edu/physics/faculty/mungan/Scholarship/WorkEnergyTheory
.pdf

work is introduced as the product of force and displacement.
Which force and which displacement would be used to estimate
the amount of heat from a burning match? How would you
justify that "heat=kind of work?"
Ludwik Kowalski

Ludwik, Carl is absolutely correct!!!

Firstly, there is no such thing as "the amount of heat from a burning
match" Despite many admonitions you and others seem to continue to reify
the concept of "heat". There is no such thing!

Several times an explanation has been given here and for an amplified
explanation you, particularly, have been referred to _my_ web page many
many times -- It would be helpful if you would read it!
