Also in his famous 'Lectures' volume I, 7-4. He uses both of the blasphemous
terms 'bulges' AND 'centerfugal force' in his apostacy. I wish he had worked
'heat' in there, too. Nice picture of the bulges, too.

I must confess that I am back to yelling at my monitor:

Look folks, despite the Great Newton and the almost as Great Feynman --
there is no tidal "bulge" -- The evidence is quite simple and convincing if
one were to take a moment to consider it. But some like to revel in the
myths. They won't take that moment. The myths of grammar school have too
great a hold on their souls. Tsk.

The "force field" has a "bulge" (sort of); the gravitational potential has
a "bulge," but the water does not.

I have now done my duty to humanity and will be quiet.


And, Dan, there is no such thing as "heat". I am still open to "centerfugal"
