Hi. I'm the webmaster for both the UMass/Amherst Physics site and the UMPERG
site, and Richard Hake CC'd me on this. (Thanks!)
I reboot our server every Friday to keep it running stably. Unfortunately, a
database seems to have gotten corrupted this time around. When I came in
this morning (Monday 4/23), I discovered our webserver software had crashed
Friday afternoon, very shortly after I left for the weekend. I suspect
that's why the URL was found to be non-responding on 4/21.
http://umperg.physics.umass.edu/ is back up and running now; apologies for
the outage.
If someone found the server to be non-responsive sometime *other* than this
past weekend, I'd very much like to know about it.
