This is a standard reference in the field, so if you want to
discuss GR, you should have access to both this and MTW. I can enlarge on
Weinberg, but my price is much more than the cost of the book.
Also, I learned a long time ago that people don't really value
freebies!

Jack not having access to the source you mention I wasn't able to get any
information on what Weinberg is talking about. I always thought it was pretty
uncontroversial that the red shift is a Doppler effect. Could you enlarge on
what Weinberg is saying?
