2) ABSTRACT SEARCH AND MEETING SCHEDULER
AAPT is now offering a beta version of a personal scheduler for the 122nd National Meeting in San Diego. You may view the meeting program by day, select the sessions you would like to attend, and print your customized version of each day's schedule. At this time, we do not have the capability to save your schedule so you must print your itinerary at the time you create it.
Please remember that the unexpected often happens, and that you should check the onsite addendum to make sure you have the correct information.

3) NASA-USRP ANNOUNCEMENT
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is pleased to announce the NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program (NASA-USRP) offering undergraduates across the United States mentored research experiences at nine participating NASA Centers during 2001.
The NASA-USRP seeks applications from undergraduates enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants must be rising juniors or seniors at the completion of the Spring 2001 semester/quarter. Eligible fields of study are academic major or demonstrated coursework concentration in engineering, mathematics, computer science or physical/life sciences.

4) U.S. PHYSICS TEAM
The deadline for submitting an application for the U.S. Physics Team is January 11, 2001. The preliminary exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions taken from all topics in physics and four free response questions in mechanics. Visit the PSRC web site (http://www.psrc-online.org/evaluation/evaluation.html) to look at previous exams.
During the training camp, which is held at the University of Maryland at the end of May, the students are introduced to problem-solving and laboratory skills besides spending a day in Washington, D.C. There they spend time with the Secretary of Education, the Science Advisor to the President and meet with their congressmen.
This year the international competition is being held in Antalya, Turkey, June 28 - July 6, 2001.

Scheduled for Friday, April 27, %%%Sun-Earth Day 2001%%% occurs during National Astronomy Week and in the same week as Earth Day (April 22). Some events will also be held on Saturday, April 28 -National Astronomy Day - and in conjunction with the fifth anniversary celebration of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory.
