It's just that on my Cherokee the static ports (one on each side) are
located on the fusilage aft of the cockpit. The blade on which the pitot
port is located, out on the wing, has a drain hole at the bottom, but only
one tube and it goes to the airspeed indicator, not the altimeter. Maybe the
newer Cherokees have some different arrangement, but I don't know why they
would put a static port on a blade.
