About 18 mo ago my daughter wrote a letter to the editor of the local
newspaper on the use of herbicides near our City water supply which was
published.  She cited  Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring.  She was eight
at the time and is the only person in our family to have read this book.

There are some VERY bright children out there, and we need to encourage them.
