Re: physics/pedagogy of coffee-mixing

I gave a wrong specification for the spoon size in
the last message. It was probably 100 and not 150.
Here are two outputs for sp=150:

1) When initially 1000 black in A and 1000 red in B

Cup A has 12.8 % tea, Cup B has 12.8 % coffee
Cup A has 12.5 % tea, Cup B has 12.5 % coffee
Cup A has 12.7 % tea, Cup B has 12.7 % coffee
Cup A has 13.1 % tea, Cup B has 13.1 % coffee
Cup A has 13.4 % tea, Cup B has 13.4 % coffee
Cup A has 13.5 % tea, Cup B has 13.5 % coffee

2) When initially 2000 black in A and 1000 red in B

Cup A has 6.4 % tea, Cup B has 12.8 % coffee
Cup A has 6.55 % tea, Cup B has 13.1 % coffee
Cup A has 6.75 % tea, Cup B has 13.5 % coffee
Cup A has 6.25 % tea, Cup B has 12.5 % coffee
Cup A has 6.55 % tea, Cup B has 13.1 % coffee
Cup A has 6.65 % tea, Cup B has 13.3 % coffee
Cup A has 6.4 % tea, Cup B has 12.8 % coffee

A professional statistician would probably be able
to predict mean values and standard deviations (of
percentages). Thanks for a good problem John D.
