What is the exact URL for the textbook survey?


dear sir:
i have taught out of both and prefer giancoli because it gives a better
selection of problems and i feel it presents the material better. the
problems in the college physics version of serway are too much like the
non-calculus problems in his ap c level book that is written for a calculus
based course. if your are going to use his college physics version you had
better have a very good class of physics b students who have exceptional
problem-solving skills. another text you might want to look for the
algebra/trig level b course is physics by cutnell and johnson. if you go to
the aps website and look at the survey done on most commonly used college
textbooks for the alg/trig based course giancoli is the most widely used.

The honors physics (non-calculus intro) uses Serway & Faughan after
using Giancoli for many years. I'm not teaching that course, but
those who are like the book.

I apologize for asking this most likely overdone question but we are
changing our high school honors physics books from the College Physics
(Sears Zemansky Young 7th ed.). I personally chose the new Serway
College Physics but the others in my department wanted the 5th ed. of
Gaincoli. We want to use a text currently preferred by college physics
classes (trig based). Can our college professors and honors High school
teachers please take a couple of minutes and send me your preference
with a quick reason.

It may be more appropriate to email me direct rather than post onto the
list server.
