I think everybody knows what is going on with a lamp filament by now,
but now we need to decide what Ohm's Law is. I would say that Ohm's law
states that a wide variety of materials have the property that their
resistance is constant if they are held at a constant temperature. If
this were put to the test so that the filament of the bulb could be kept
at constant temperature I would suppose that its resistance would be
well defined and very nearly constant.
