Re: Confirmation of Relativity

I'm sure that most of us are aware that the lifetime of moving muons

about length contraction, and I had to admit I couldn't think of any
experiment that directly measured the effect. Of course, it has to work
for the rest of the theory to work, but is there a clear experiment that
confirms it directly?

Perhaps somebody has a better answer, but the way I've looked at it is
that if the muon considers the time interval for getting between points
A and B to be shorter than I do, and the muon an I agree on our relative
velocity, then it must also perceive the distance between A and B to be
contracted by the same factor as the time interval.
